Who was John Adams?
John Adams was the second President of the United States, serving from 1797 to 1801. Born in Braintree, Massachusetts on October 30, 1735, Adams was a key figure in the American Revolution and played a crucial role in the drafting of the Declaration of Independence. Prior to his presidency, he served as a diplomat, negotiating the peace treaty with Britain that ended the Revolutionary War. After leaving office, Adams retired to his farm in Quincy, Massachusetts, where he died on July 4, 1826, the same day as Thomas Jefferson, the third U.S. President. Adams was a strong advocate for independence, liberty, and democracy and is remembered as one of the founding fathers of the United States.
