Illeana Douglas is an American television and movie actress who has appeared in numerous television shows and films. In 2000 she won a Satellite Award for Best Actress - Television Series Musical or Comedy for her role as Wendy Ward in Fox's comedy series Action. In 2002 she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Angela in HBO's Six Feet Under. More recently she has starred in the IKEA sponsored web series Easy to Assemble and was the presenter for the Turner Classic Movies month of specials called Trailblazing Women which highlighted women's contributions to the art of cinema.
Illeana Douglas is a direct descendant of Mayflower passenger William Brewster. She also has family connections to many of Britain's royal family including the late Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth II, Catherine Middleton, King Henry VIII and at least 3 of his wives. She also has a connection to King Ferdinand II, the first King of a united Spain.
