Who is J. K. Simmons?
J. K. Simmons, born Jonathan Kimble Simmons, is an American television and movie actor. While probably best known for his role as Dr. Emil Skoda on NBC’s television series Law and Order, and as the spokesperson in the Farmers Insurance commercials, he also plays the main character(s) in the Starz television series Counterpart. In addition to his television roles, J. K. Simmons has appeared in a number of films including as a voice character in a number of animated films and video games. J. K. Simmons has been nominated for and won numerous awards including an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award and BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the 2014 film Whiplash.
