    • There was a Martha Lyford listed in the passenger list of the ship Charity in which the Rev. John Lyford sailed to Plymouth in 1624. Martha's last child was reportedly born in 1674. This would make Martha 50 at the time of her last child's birth, somewhat unlikely. So the current theory is that this Martha must have been born shortly before her father died in 1629 and she is not the same Martha that came over with the family in the Charity.
