Hiram Bowling , a cobbler, was struck by a Pittsburg, Ft. Wayne and Chicago train in Van Wert, Ohio, and hurled into the air a distance of 10 feet, killing him almost instantly. He had resided in Van Wert only a few months being a former resident of Circleville, Ohio.
Hiram Bowling is said to be the son of James and Keziah (Martin) Bowling. Evidence is needed to support this claim.
