  • There were two William Reeds who resided at Weymouth about the same time. This William Reed should not be confused with the William Read who married, first, Susanna Haym, and second, Ruth Crooke. Many published genealogies confuse the two men including those by Savage and Pope, and a Reed genealogy published in 1861 is considered useless by most genealogists.
