- Notes:
Some published sources claim Rosalie Saugrain, daughter of Dr. Antoine Saugrain, married John Waddell who was born about 1836. This is obviously incorrect as Rosalie Saugrain would have been at least 40 years his senior. The Rosalie Saugrain who married John Waddell was the daughter of Dr. Pierre Saugrain. This is made evident in an obituary for Joseph Waddell (09 JUN 1950, The Sedalia Democrat), a son of John Waddell and Rosalie Saugrain, and grandson of Dr. Pierre Saugrain.
